University Gardens I & II is an affordable independent senior apartment community located in the Montgomery Knolls neighborhood of Silver Spring, Maryland.

University Gardens I, is an independent Affordable Senior Living Community developed in 1991 in accordance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 202/8 Housing Programs. University Gardens II, developed in 2013 under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 202/ Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion contract, is adjacent to University Gardens I.  The property accommodates persons 62 years and older and persons with mobility, hearing, and visual impairments at the time of application. To qualify, household income cannot exceed HUD income guidelines, and residents pay 30% of their adjusted household income.
